Beautiful Montana Venues!

We just returned from my future husbands homeland. MONTANA!
While we were there we checked out a few wedding venues. All promising, some more than others.... Not to mention our goal is to share as many of our favorite things with our guest as we can: A few of those could be a grilled cheese buffet, giant mounds of Oreo cookies, pies, Thai food or mexican, live music, and of course Montana.

We did not look at this venue, I just happen to come across this one on the internet hence the update... It's called the Woodlands and it's located 10 minutes outside of Bozeman. It's a secluded location, with lots of accommodations I say yes to: Overnight accommodation? YES! Choose your own caterer? YES! Bring your own booze? YES! Provide linens, tables, and chairs? YES! Do you do the clean up? YES! Can you have dogs? YES!!!

I love that it's nestled in the trees! And if I remember correctly, there should be mountains around as well.... I'm pretty sure I recall Bozeman being surrounded by giant peaks!

Montana always makes for a beautiful backdrop for photographs, this one is on the property. I bet it's amazing in the fall!

This is the St. Joseph's Church in Canton Valley Montana built in 1875-76.
Before we even got engaged we both thought it would be amazing to get married on the property of an old abandoned church out in the middle of nowhere! We stumbled upon this rustic church during one of many road trips to see the beautiful surroundings Montana has to offer. It's really out in the middle of nowhere, but not far from Helena. I'm waiting on a call back about using the property as a venue.

Here's a little History Lesson for you

Oh the old wagon, I wonder where have you gone, who did you carry, and what did your steeeeeeeds look like?

This barn is at the Ranch Club in Missoula Montana.

They have a sweet rustic barn but it's located on a golf course. We thought this place was pretty and the barn is what we are looking for but the location isn't rustic enough for us.
Could possibly be a back up plan..... ?

Cool little party house on the property

I just thought this snow heart was the cutest thing! Photo by me.

Ahhhhh the Springhill Pavilion! This is definitely in the running for our wedding!
This venue sits at the foot of 9,200’ Ross Peak Mountain. Here you see the dining hall and the dance hall. Sally & Chum are two of the nicest people we've met, and they put no limits on your special day! All the parking you need, music all night long, you can bring your own food, they put up flowers everywhere, and they allow you to camp out on their AMAZING property because that is how it was done back in the 1800's when it was to dark to get the horses/wagons back home.
This photo was taken during the filming of The Horse Whisperer. Yes ladies Robert Redford was here!

Inside the dance hall looking out at the main door

These windows lined both sides of the dance hall reviling amazing views of Scottish Highland Cattle, and the breath taking mountains you're surrounded by.

The stage for a band and a cozy fireplace, I'd seriously considering moving my wedding to the fall so we can use the fire place and the wood burning stoves in the pavilion and the dining hall.

A big red barn to complete the view. This place had everything you could want and more!
