"Wildflowers"

Levi & I went on our first camping trip of the year this past weekend to the coast. It was AMAZINGLY beautiful, I don' think I've ever enjoyed the coast as much as I did on this trip. The weather was perfect! Sunny with minimal wind, stretch pants, flip flops and a hoody kinda weather. We spent the entire weekend down by the shore with our friends and our hounds, throwing the football around, napping with our sleeping bags out in the grass, soaking up the sun, sitting by the campfire and just enjoying the outdoors!

The beach was nice but the car ride for me is an extra bonus to a weekend getaway. We always have both of our Ipods and when we get sick of those we switch to Pandora on the Iphone. We spend the entire car ride talking about the scenery, pointing out wildlife, and taking turns shuffling songs all the while holding hands. On the way home I wanted to listen to Tom Petty's 1994 Wildflowers Album, it's one of my faves. After the weekend we had the song Wildflowers brought one thing to mind. Us, and all the other "weekends" we have shared together. I had him repeat it twice.

I'm thinking of having it played during the ceremony.....

I've decided I like the idea of 2 dresses. One long. One short.

A. Because long is appropriate for the ceremony and the only "wedding tradition" I want to keep

B. Because my venue is outside and we're camping. I don't want to drag around a bunch of fabric all night

C. Because short would be smokin hot with cowboy boots

D. Because it's my day to play dress up!

We're Headed For The Better Life!

My life is dramatically changing and it smacked me in the face last night! Within the last week we've been pre-approved for a home loan, my ducks are aligned so I can go back to school, take a Biology and a Chemistry class this summer to meet the last of the pre-reqs I need so that I can apply for a Veterinarian Program that starts in September and hopefully be 1 of 30 students accepted. And of course we're getting married ..... We didn't have it planned this way, things have just fallen into place all at the same time. It's all a little scary because it's happening so fast but I couldn't be happier! Things are on the up and up for us right now and all of our dreams are slowly but surly becoming a reality.... 
Now if someone could only talk Levi's boss into giving him that big huge fat raise/promotion he deserves!

To much fabric not enough Oomph!

This is me having an anxiety attack at a resale wedding boutique my mom took me too. 

You can't see the other rack of dresses I'm wedged between.

  

I'm not ready to start dress shopping, thinking about a design yes, but shop no. On our way home we stopped at this awesome boutique by my house that I drive by everyday http://www.bespokenbeauty.com/. It's an organic custom/handmade shop. My anxiety level went back down.

I tired on this dress to give my mom a smile, but it's not for me. I want something tighter. 

It did make me feel like a princess though.
