Old Ranch at Silver Falls State Park

Levi & I checked out the Old Ranch @ Silver Falls State Park. We really liked it and you can camp on the property the only problem is it only accommodates 50 vehicles and all other vehicles have to park outside of the park oh and that you can only reserve it 6 months in advance to your event and they book up FAST..... On the plus side it's very reasonably priced. There is also a huge campground and cabins for rent throughout the property, you can bring horses, and there is a 10 mile hike with 10 diff rent waterfalls to see. One fall you can even walk behind and it has an old curved stone wall..... Imagine the photo opportunities there!

  1. I am having my wedding at the old ranch this coming August! The new ranch, which is across the meadow, is also available for $200 a night so we booked that as well. This allows for more cars to park nearby, supplied a seperate kitchen for the caterers to work out of and gives us plenty of freedom to rock out all night without disturbing anyone. Rentals are available 9months in advance (not 6) and we were able to reserve all the cabins at the conference center and some of the state park cabins. The reservation process was daunting but worth it.
Have you seen the YMCA youth camp in the park? Its $800 a night but comes with more cabins than you could possibly need. If you ask $30 night which is totally cheap I bet you could nearly get your money back. Oh, and the eating lodge comes with all the tables and chairs so you wouldn't have to rent. The outdoor chapel is amazing! Its only available in the spring and fall otherwise we would have had our wedding there.

  3. I've rented out the New Ranch for my wedding this comming sunday (july 24th) and find it VERY reasonable, and very spacious. The parking will be the biggest pain, but silver falls is VERY good at adjusting accomidations :)

  4. I'm getting married at the Old Ranch August 2012! Sarah and Jennie, how did it go? How many people attended your weddings? I'm worried about the 75 person limit, as our guest list right now is over 130! How did they monitor this? Did you shuttle people in to avoid the parking problem?

Shannon, your wedding sounds like it will be fabulous! I saw your post about having it at the Youth Camp. By the way, my birthday is also September 10th :)
